Why is Xtina's solo material barely supported by radio?

i really don't understand this at all. Christina Aguilera's "We Remain" is attached to one of the biggest movies of the year, is well received by the public (there are already tons of cover versions on YouTube), was featured in TV spots for the movie and soundtrack and will be performed on The Voice this upcoming week. Yet radio only gave it 1.243 million audience impressions before throwing in the towel.

Meanwhile Britney Spears has a song (Perfume) that even her overall fan base doesn't really like. It's already nearing 20 million AI on radio, despite only selling 72,000 over several weeks time. And it's not like she will ever perform it on televison. Does she really deserve all that airplay? What gives?
