Job Description:

Make your mark in Broadcasting and Digital Media. Results Broadcasting, Inc. is looking for a Journalist focused on bringing the most engaging local news and sports content to web, mobile and over-the-air radio to audiences all over Northeastern Wisconsin.

Results Broadcasting is looking for a take-charge Reporter to join our winning newsroom. We are seeking a motivated, energetic, creative, and aggressive reporter. The candidate should be able to develop story ideas, gather information and produce newscasts. The best person will thrive on being the first to share the news with our communities.

She or he will be able to record newscasts, anchor a live news, report from the field and/or produce as needed. Improvising during live segments and engaging with guests while on on-air are skills critical to this role. In addition to on-air work, this role centers on producing, editing, writing and reporting.

Familiarity and comfort with Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter are required, and the candidate should understand how social media is an asset to a news organization.

• Will have a strong knowledge of anchoring and reporting, web publishing systems, news production, as well as a mastery of spelling, punctuation, grammar and AP Style.
• Strong writing and copy-editing skills are a must.
• At least 1 year of experience as a reporter.
• Must be able to work well under deadline pressure.

A bachelor's degree, preferably in journalism or communication, and at least one year of relevant work experience in journalism are a must. Previous experience in a newsroom, especially on a digital platform or in radio news, is preferred. The individual must be able to work various shifts and times, including early mornings, nights and weekends. The ideal candidate will have a passion for journalism excellence and the will to compete and win.
